View Full Version : Critique my gaming site
I am using vbulletin and I designed the theme myself so any suggestions on how to improve on the theme and forum structure would be appreciated.

Because the entire site is vBulletin, there's really not much to critique. The color scheme's decent. It's not bad, but there's nothing 'wow' about it.
What would your suggestions be to make it 'wow'?

I'm not quite sure. Because it's vBulletin, you don't have a whole lot of freedom (at least very easily). I'm not saying that using anything else, like phpbb, is going to be better, I mean that by using a pre-made package, your options are limited.

Also, you say it's an xbox live forum right? Why is there only a picture of the Halo dude (dunno his name :p ) and why not some other xbox stuff?
Well I could go in and add a bunch more xbox live game characters in but I felt that would make the logo too busy and that M.C. (the halo dude) was good enough as it is the flag ship live title.
I put my frontpage back up (had to fix it since upgrading the vbulletin version broke it.) Any suggestions on how to improve it? I plan on adding skin system to it so it matches whatever forum style the person choose.

The Xbox Live Community looks good, the other is kind of plane.
Not sure what your doing.. but keep working at it and I sure it
will look good for both.
I hate when you try something diffrent and it don't work. grrrr...

I made the frontpage style to match the forums style. Tell me what you think.

You might want to adjust the spacing of the boxes slightly, and make the contents of 'recent posts' and 'recent reviews' a smaller font-size, but other than that, I like the main page.
