Please only critique the layout for now. I'm adding more things (there will be an ad in the big white spot and obviously the links will work) and i'm gonna fix the errors in the HTML.

so anyway, what do you think of the layout?

You may want to add some space between the three columns looks a little crowded. I like the colors. You may want to tone down the amount or file size of your images there was some delay on the load time on my cable modem.

Hate splash start pages I won't buy from a site that has one. I want to get the information asap. Also once you get past that page, none of the pictures loaded. It was basically grey with white type which is boring i would use the Green that xbox uses or some color besides white and black.. I also would get my site more finished before having it evaluated.

sorry...when i changed it to gif i forgot to upload the image files lol

so now it works

anyway, i'm not really gonna sell anything on my site but do you think i should still remove the splash page?

good layout, but needs more coloring.

You might want to have a different color tone for the title cell backgrounds and the content cell backgrounds. The gray on gray look, just seems boring and doesn't give the site the usual wow or intrigueing look, especially for a gaming site.

Oops...layout good...ya can read the site critique above when u get around to doing the actual content of the site :D

I am not a fan of intro pages since they don't give much info to search engines or visitors and force us to make an extra click to get to info. And I don't like to be told what screen resolution or browser I should use. Most gamers use a higher screen resolution, anyway.

The white text on gray is not easy to read. Image backgrounds only compete with the text or image contents. The text should not be against the border. Copyright info should appear at the bottom of every page. The logo appears twice - the banner in the middle is unnecessary.

The color scheme is bland, but it should not compete with thumbnail images that are expected to appear among the paragraphs of text. The overall design and layout is nice. The site looks like it will be easy to read and navigate, except that I personally have trouble with tiny white text on gray background.

I can't make much more comments since there aren't any contents yet. I can only speculate what will be there and if I think it will be okay. I don't understand how or why people try to design without using the contents. How can you tell if the color scheme works? Or if you have enough room for text and images? If images are added, there may be too many listings and the page may scroll too much. A back-to-top link may be recommended.

yeah it is pretty colorless. I'm working on another desgin that has more red and the backgrounds for the news is darker so its easier to see the text.

I dont think i'm gonna put many images on the site mostly because there's too many copyright issues
