My site comes up for renewal on the 31st of this money. I know that when I renew it gets charge to an account on this site. I was wondering if the amount charged to this site *immediately* gets charged to my bank account right afterwards, or if I could decide when to charge it to my bank account and what is the longest I have until I have to charge it to my bank account. I'm not looking into getting out of my bill, I just need some more time before I'll have the money to completely pay for it.

I guess you have a valid credit card in file and have auto renew turned on in OPS. Your hosting cost is charged immediately to your bank, if your card has expired or you don't have the funds it will not be renewed. Domains should be manually renewed.

The site is taken out at midnight of the day in question (in this case 31st). The files etc remain for about 5 days before they're deleted. As noted, everything should be paid for by the 31st but if there is a delay you've got the 5 days before you loose everything. The domain name isn't automatically renewed even if the package is. (They get out of sync anyway with the free time on offer for the packages for a lot of customers so this isn't necessarily a problem for you.)
