It loaded super slow for me, I've seen Mambo load quick on at least a VPS.

You keep timing out. This happens now and then, not much Powweb can do, check your config.

Can confirm that it took over 30 seconds for the page to show up.The downloaded sections of the page are all small files, so it's not stalling on that.

I assume you need to look once more at your database installation. Did you declare all required indexes during installation, or did you skip a step by accicent ? Indexes can be added at any time, no need to redo the site content. Possibly you only need to run the Repair function in phpmyadmin on all tables to fix the problem.
