Hi, I just signed up for service today, and was confused when I found that my domains ftp address is not ftp.domain.com, but ftpxx.powweb.com, as well as for the mail servers.

Also, I do not understand why user names have to be unique to the entire powweb site, not just within my domain.

When ftping content for clients i would like to give them an address that they're familiar with as well as custom usernames that are easy to remember.

Thanks for any help.

You can set up ftp.domain.com by following this tutorial: http://kb.powweb.com/questions/277/How-can-I-use-ftp.mydomain.com%3F

For mail, you can use mail.domain.com just fine.

Note that when offering FTP access to clients, you could open your account up for abuse. Any knowledgable user could upload scripts and gain access to the whole account file space. Better use an upload script that uses web form based file upload that you can control better. Several finished scripts are available for free on the web.
