View Full Version : MySQL04 issues
I'm having issues on MySQL04. I get 'too many connections' errors constantly (but not always). i'd say about 70% of my db connection attempts get errored out. This is using phpbb.
With the remaining 30%, everything works fine. :p
hmmm...apparenlty I got moved to the MySQL forum. I actually think this is an issue with the SQL server, but hey, whatever.

Same here! Please get this fixed!!
Got it as well. The script is setup to email me the errors and here is what I got starting from 10:04am est
1040: Too many connections
Seems very constant across all 3 of the user accounts I use. So far I have not been able to get past this error, so I do not think it is intermittent.
Edit:10:59am est.
I can now get onto my site fine. Refreshed several times and it seems better.
roger, the issues appear to have evaporated. Everything seems fine again on my site.
FYI, this error message is from too many db users trying to access the server at once (no surprise there). It could be because it is a particularly busy time, or maybe there are some very busy sites using the server that should not be using shared hosting. Anyway, this is nothing that a customer can control. Your best bet is to send an email to powweb noting the times it is occuring. If you have an email script, than you can get very exact. Whatever fixes this (adjusting server settings, redistributing users, etc) will have to come from powweb, and they may not see a forum post as readily as emails from 10 different users complaining about the same thing.
