I would like to use the backup powweb gave me because certain things got deleted in my database. However everytime I try to use the backup to restore it will load for five minutes then log me out.

What is the size of the database. You might want to search these forums. There are a lot of useful discussion on how to restore a database and this depends on the size. Various methods are available.

Is it a Member Ops .dmp.gz file?
You have your database details - username,password, mysqlsserver and db name?

Yes, its the member Ops. .dmp.gz file. And I have my database details.

Sure - let me know if you have any questions on the setup.

I'm tried to make it simple to install, but I'd like feedback to see if there's things I can do to make it simpler.

And if you have problems - or don't want to get into the cgi/php thing, I have a demo page setup for files less than 32MB

OMFG IT WORKED!!!!!! Thanks for that website you gave me! Powweb you need this seriously, I've done endless attempts at restoring databases but nothing has worked. This time I got EVERYTHING BACK!!! Your system is awesome thanks mitchind!

Now if I just get extras to build me that self-installer for the program I won't have to use my website :p
