My mySQL database was disabled September 30th. I received an e-mail saying it was "temporarily" disabled because too many tables were locked. I e-mailed back right away asking for the database to be re-enabled, and to get some assistance figuring out why the tables are locking and how I can prevent these problems for occuring. (Right now, the only thing I know how to do is login to phpmyadmin and repair/optimize the tables.) I still haven't gotten a single response back from PowWeb, and some of my site visitors are starting to worry. I don't know if I'm going over the mySQL query limits (I have the forum spread over 3 mySQL users), or anything else. I don't usually have more than 20 users on at once on my forum (running phpBB 2.0.14). I don't know why my database is getting disabled, and the cryptic tech support replies of "make sure your software is up-to-date" or "optimize your tables" don't help very much.
I can't open a new support ticket, because OPS tells me not to open one on the topic of an already open ticket. But I can't wait a week for a response from customer service, and I'd like to know how I can prevent this sort of fiasco from happening in the future.
Thanks!
