My site, www.llclassics.com (http://www.llclassics.com), has been on the web for about a year now. I started out just selling lace curtains which I import from France, but I am adding a fairly large information section to my site and I am planning to join affiliate programs and sell related products. what I notice when I check the stats for my site is that the majority of my visitors (about 62%) stay only 0-30 seconds and about 19% stay 30 seconds-2 minutes. I do come up high on yahoo for most of my keywords and keyphrases, and for many of them I am on page 1 or page 2. However, my visitors generally leave right after they arrive, and my alexa rating, which was at one time decent, is slowly (but surely) going down the drain. what do you think I could do to improve my site? Don't be afraid to rip it apart; I won't be offended.
Thanks in advance,
Martine

Hello, again! Your site does look better than before. But your site contents don't display nicely in 800x600 screen resolution. I like the photo on the FAQ page. It is cute!
The home page could be redesigned. Relocate the ordering info to its own page or the FAQ page. If you accept MC, Visa, Paypal, then display those logos on the home page. If you only ship to the United States, then include an image of the US flag on the home page. This helps your visitors know if they are able to purchase from you.
The images on the home page are quite large - to show the detail on the curtains. Perhaps you can have rotating images that can link to their pages or enlarged images.
In order to increase search engine ranking and web visibility, people exchange links with related websites. Your outgoing links should be on web pages hosted on YOUR web host server and the incoming links should point to YOUR domain name. DO NOT use those remotely-hosted links directories!
I did not see the links for the About Us page, the Contact Us page, or the privacy, payment and refund policies (which may be in FAQ). This information is important to people who do not (yet) know your business.
The site really is improved. Please post again when you have made changes. I like to see how it progresses.

It's not spectacular, but I think the design and definitely the color scheme work. The main thing you need to change is the image sizes. One of your images is 593.18 KB, which not only takes an absurd amount of time to download, but will also eat away your bandwidth at a rapid pace.
I think you should also put some left margin or padding on some stuff so it isn't right up against the edge of the page or container element. The navigation, especially, would probably look better if it were centered over the body (viewing in 1024x768). And I think it'd be nice if you had a banner of some sort. It's a lot of blank space towards the top and it would also help to clearly identify who/what you are.
On a side note, you should put all the Javascript in an external JS file so it can be cached. Doing so looks like it'll cut the page size in half, or better.
