problem uploading, keeps logging me out...

I'm trying to upload about a 3 meg video file to my site through webftp, and every time I click the upload button, it takes forever (probably comcast) and then returns me to the loggin screen without uploading the file. I know that the file size isn't a problem, I've got a 40 meg video I uploaded a few months ago, it seems like something is timing out maybe?

I'm pretty lost when it comes to this kind of thing, I know just enough to get myself in trouble as far as site management, but this just seems odd to me. I've noticed the problem for the last 2 days if that helps.
