Hello all

Currently I'm trying to download my mySQL database with little success. What I'm trying to do, is to download (to keep, in case of a problem) - but also upload the data to another database, to test a few things (what I'm basically doing is upgrading my forum software from one version to another - but want to test out, before considering touching - dont want to go breaking it now).
My database is quite big - and I have tried downloading/uploading the backups powweb have given - however uploading hangs, when uploading to the other database.

Please could anyone help!!

How big is the .gz file from backups?
Do you just want to move it to a different mysql server on Powweb - is that what you mean by uploading it?

Excuse me sir a database 1.9mb is very small, if its 19 or 25mb that is little big database

1- I recommends you that you get one of database divider scripts
Than you dived your database into 4 or 5 parts , after you reload it again in any where you want
2- or you get some free wear up loader database scripts
All you need is to put both the backup data base and up loader script in the forum directory and complete the presence
