View Full Version : Can I use a WYSIWYG thingy here?
Forgive me, I am new to forums, I am new to web design, and hosting, etc. Ok, I'm new to everything, but here goes:
About a year ago, I put a personal website on Tripod. They have been good to me, and I can't complain since everything is free. However, I am getting to the point where I need more space and more service.
I built my website using Trellix web (don't laugh). It's easy to use, and since I don't need java (whatever that is) or any flash fancy stuff, it works just fine (and it makes a nice site.) I am seriously thinking about moving my website here and if I do, I need to know if I can use my trellix thingy here. Don't tell me to learn HTML, heck I can barely spell it! (hahaha)

Well, I've heard that you can use Trellix on any hosting site if you can figure out how to configure it to do so. But that's just hearsay and I can't guarantee that it's the truth.
But trust me, learning how to use (and spell) html is not that hard and with the help of all the good people here in the forums you'd be on your way in no time at all, and have much better control over what your site looked like.
There are lots of good usefull WYSIWYG type html editors around many that are free. So you can build your site just as you want it to look and not really do any hard coding.

Hi Daniel38,
Not really famaliar with Trellix, but read this post.

Wow! If powweb is as fast with the answers as this forum is, then it must be a great place.
My apologies, if I would have thought to use the search before posting, I could have saved space.
Thank you for taking time to answer my question!
These forums are my favorite place to go and get help from. We have a BUNCH of people here who are just plain Web Gods. They can make magic happen. And usually they are all here in staggered times where usually there is one posting at any given time. lol
So it works out really well. Plus ya throw in the Admins who just live here. :)
I think it's pretty cool myself.
hi
daniel heres some html editors (free ones)
if you need them

Cool.
Thank you all for your responses, and for visiting my website! In the event someone else has the same question(s) as I, let me tell you what I have found out:
If you purchased Trellixweb 2.7 as a freestanding application (it didn't come with anything else) you will have a "publish anywhere" button on the publish interface window. Just enter the account information and publish!
If not, then you will need to visit trellix.com and buy the new cuteSite builder. It is compatable with your present .tlx files (if they were made with version 2.7).
I am going to take a few days and check out the html editors, and (gulp!) see if this ol' dog can learn a few new tricks. Then I think I'll be ready to move my site.
Thanks again!
