Hi,

My web site started displaying the following error today...

"Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Etc..."

I haven't changed anything or even FTP'd into the site in a couple of weeks. Everything had been working fine, as far as I can tell, up to today.

The web site is http://www.freesheetmusicguide.com/

I can FTP into the site fine, I just can't access it.

Is anyone else seeing this?

The site is on ftp08

David

Usual first diagnostic step - rename your .htaccess and see if the problem goes away.

... and a step I just learned yesterday, after using that wonderful "redirector" function on the beta CP. I've been watching my 404 reports and finding that a lot of them come from people consistantly mistyping a particular URL or seeking one that had been indexed by some unknown spider and the pages don't exist any more. So I use the redirection to point them to the correct page.

Well.... one typo in the redirector and you get "Internal Server error 500.. misconfiguration.." messages .. and your whole site goes down... :p
