I have a website and sell only 1 product, and just handle payments through paypal. I am updating my site. Should I have my own shopping cart? Can I have paypal handle credit card payments behind the scenes so that customers don't have to leave my site? Or should I find someone else to handle credit card payments? If I install Zencart, osCommerce or Cubecart, can I keep my current page running until I have the new one ready to go? Also, do any of these programs allow for customers to review products? I am still learning so I would like to keep things simple. Any help would be appreciated. Traveling Toddler (http://www.travelingtoddler.com)

Thanks,

David

I think PayPal's shopping cart is adequate even for a number of products but you don't sound as though you need a cart. If you build a button and click NO for encryption, then go into Other Options, you can nominate an auto-return page on your site and also a cancellation page in case they drop out at the last hurdle.
They go into your PayPal page (which you can customize to match your site to quite an extent) and come straight back to a page that can have anything you want on it so long as it includes a standard message (as given by PayPal when you are configuring auto-return in Other Options). Try it out - I know PayPal's merchant tackle is slightly unwieldy (must have been thought up by geeks without input from vendors) but it's all there.
