View Full Version : Serviced Domain email problem

I purchased a serviced domain and set up the new site in a sub-directory of my main site. I went to the registrar's site and pointed the name to PowWeb's DNS servers. This was 2 days ago.

Late yesterday, the serviced domain began working (thanks to the posts here re: .htaccess files). This morning I set up a few email addresses on the serviced domain. I sent a message from my 'excite.com' account and experienced a 33 minute wait to receive the first email. Then, I sent another and it went thru right away. Now, 2 hours later, I'm getting:

Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender from the 'excite.com' account.

So, I sent an email from my main account here to the new address on the serviced account (from Eudora) and received a 450 error:

<newaddress@serviceddomain.info> Recipient address rejected: Domain not found

Is it possible the DNS change hasn't fully propagated yet?

Yes, very possible. Since you don't name the domain here, it's hard to check.
