Since Im using a tem URL, how do I acess OscCommerce?

I havent gotten my permanent URL yet, but will soon. So for now I am using a temp URL and have downloaded oscCommerce in its own path. But I would like to install it and set up my shop while Im waiting for permanent URL, how do I do that? I cant access the file because it attempts to open in dreamweaver, my website creator. I cant access typing it into the address bar because Im using a temp UrL and it tells me that the file cannot be found. Need help here...

You have to edit your configure.php to use the temporary hostname and access it that way in a web browser. Make sure that you have uploaded osCommerce to the server in the place you expect it to be.

It is not advised to install scripts until your domain is fully active to the Powweb servers.

osCommerce doesn't care about the domain being active - you can use the temp hostname if you want.

Post the first 20 lines of your catalog/includes/configure.php Be sure not to post the database info.
