View Full Version : 4 days and no site
In the moring it will be 4 days since I signed up. I got my domain at 15daomain the same day I got the powweb account. I can check my mail box but thats it, just the under construction page. I published the site with Front Page 2002, and have searched that forum already. Thoughts?
The URL is http://www.hometheatervault.com
Since the "under construction" page is up and visible, then your domain name is live.
So, with that said, the only reasons that I can think of that your published site is not visible are
1. Did you put your files into the htdocs directory (folder)? This is where your pages go so that the server can "serve" them up to your vistors.
2. Did you name your main (home) page index.htm / html ?
3. Did you make sure that there were no spaces or capital letters in the file names?
If you have access to a standard ftp program, set it up and log into your domain site and check to make sure all files are where they belong.
Since I do not (will not) use Front Page, I can not help you with how to do this using FP. Maybe another kind soul will venture along who is familiar with FP and offer some assistance.

Could be a number of things...index page name is the first thing that pops into my brain.
Without being able to see your file structure, it's hard to tell. The default index page for a new site is 'index.html', all lower-case. That is what the PW under construction page is.
Does this help?
