I am using OS Commerce. There doesn't seem to be a way for OSC to automatically calculate the local sales tax collected. All I can see is the list of orders and price.

OSC Admin:
-Customers->Orders
-Reports->Customer Orders Total

Does this mean I have to print this out and manually calculate the total taxes based on local sales? Or am I just not seeing a feature that would help me calculate the taxes?

What about exporting the DB and then importing into excel to sort and calculate, has anyone done that?

Thanks,
JD

You're looking for a report on all the sales tax charged? There isn't one by default but I'd be astonished if one didn't exist as a contribution.

The query to extract this information should be fairly simple.

yep, a report on all sales tax charged for calendar year 2005.

What do you use for your querys?

I don't. My store, being in New Hampshire, doesn't charge sales tax.

http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,539 may be what you are looking for.
