View Full Version : secure root directory
Need some help with SSL Please.
I've installed Cube Cart and in setup it asks for:
"Root SECURE Public HTML Folder to store: (Include Trailing Slash)
and
Absolute SECURE URL to store:
and
Server SECURE Root Directory:"
I know where to find my "Document Root and the Actual path", but not the secure
paths. I thought I could figure it out but not sure where to put secure in the path.
Thanks for your time, It would be appreciated.
Mike
The secure root directory is the same as the standard one. Some hosts make you put secure content in a separate location. but not PowWeb. The secure URL is https://examplecom.secure.powweb.com
Thanks steve
I do know the URL, but what I'm not clear on is the "Document Root" and the "Actual path",
my regular one's are:
Document Root: /www/*/*/vrsiouxfalls.com/htdocs
and
Actual Path: /www/*/vr****/htdocs .
So how do I figure out the secure ones or are they the same ones.
Mike
They're the same. There's actually two different ways you can reference the absolute path on PW. Doesn't matter which you use.

would be interested to know if you have the SSL item enabled in your cart. if so, are things working correctly? I set things up in mine and turn ssl on and it locks me out. what all did you put in all the space in your settings area?
Mike
murdockme, which cart are you using?

am using cubecart v3.0.8 which is the latest from them. they say it's supposed to work just fine. I disagree, but it's possible that something is amiss.
I have no experience with CubeCart. What are their instructions for enabling SSL?

don't worry about it. am switching to zencart to try that out. cubecart's support forums really stink and nobody on powweb seems to know either. no worries.

I did get the ssl working properly. still waiting to test it with paypal. setting up the SSL wasnt as bad I thought it would be. whats amiss with your cart.
just curious.
My cart Is here (http://www.vrsiouxfalls.com/vrcart) still under production and the payment system isnt operational yet, kind of ran into more work elsewhere.
