Just my "For What It's Worth"
thanks jj.
i in fact just found that link in a previous post.... but as luck would have it, it didn't answer all my questions.
how do i found out who my domain registrar is? and the DNS and all that? is it different from the place that is hosting the site? not to mention names, but it's godaddy.com -- if you know anything about them...
thanks to anyone who can help poor dumb me.

For the site in your profile the DNS info is good to go.
Registrant:
your name
Registrar: Go Daddy Software (http://registrar.godaddy.com)
Domain Name: BSIDEDESIGN.COM
Domain servers in listed order:
NS3.POWWEB.COM
NS2.POWWEB.COM
sorry -- i probably wasn't being clear. my site, bsidedesign.com, is hosted here at powweb. the site i'm interestied in moving FROM godaddy is gonertheband.com.
and i checked out the registrar link at godaddy (thanks for that) -- there is NO helpful information for somebody who wants to REMOVE their site from them -- figures, eh? is there a service through powweb that can facilitate this switch for me? godady's support is not helping me at all...
thx again,
b
Did you try http://registrar.godaddy.com?
