Can someone make a pc to record live CCTV Video Feen from 8 cameras?

I know there are pc for sale that record Live Video feed from CCTV cameras but they cost about $3000.00 bucks :eek: Here are some examples http://www.reytecimaging.com/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=25 Now I would like to make one my self. I'm really good with computers just need some starting sugestions. What do you think I will need? Thanx all for your help.

I am using a system from this company www.sentinelcctv.com. It has eight camera inputs and other sensor inputs. I have a 160 Gig HD on my unit. More HD space can be installed. I realize this is an old post but replied to it any way.
