So I'm trying to install IPB (Invision Power Board)

...and while im installing it, I get this error:

Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)

I've asked around and most have said that the mySQL server isn't running. I have no idea what that means, as im a complete newbie to this kind of stuff. How do I fix this? My domain name is www.danceandstomp.net, incase some of the staff want to look through some stuff.

Instead of localhost - use mysql##.powweb.com for your mysql server name.

That means of course that you have setup a MySQL database in Member Ops .. right?

if you need any help give me a shout as i am in an IPB mood having just upgraded from 2.04 to 2.14, once i have it all as should be i will be forgetting all the stuff as fast as i can !! I hate php !!
