i have just created a new web site on powweb and im in the process of transferring all of my html pages to my new site. i have been using absolute paths on my pages for everything, ie:
http://www.bitstorm.net/nightowl/picture1.jpg to link to a picture.

do i need to use an absolute path on the powweb servers, ie:
http://www.walk-proud.org/picture1.jpg or can relative path work:
"/picture1.jpg"

i hope im being clear on this.

thank you

Relative paths work on Powweb just fine! You really can go either way, but relative paths are much easier.

Hope this helps!!

As Hammondhill stated, relative paths work just fine.

Per your example, you would not even need to use "/picture1.jpg" if your picture1.jpg was in the same directory
as your html file. All you would need is "picture1.jpg"

Likewise, if you had your images in a directory called "images" then the path could be "/images/picture1.jpg"

Just remember that the "/" is the same as typing in your full domain name address as "http://www.yourdomain.com/"
