Search engine submissions

Hi again,

When i signed up it said they will submit your site to 40 search engines and now that I am ready I can not find where to do that. Anybody can help direct me to the proper location?

Log into OPS... Click on Packages, then HTTP (Website). You will find the link on that page.

That worked great. Only 10 failed after 4 attempts. I guess either they are down or busy. I wrote the ones down that failed and will try just those again another time.

That means ya got 75 percent of them.

For the remaining ones, you can just visit their site manually and register your site. Most major search engines give ya a way of submitting sites for review.

JUST REMEMBER... even though ya list your site this week, it can take upto a month and a half to see anything happen in the listings. Most major indexes don't update their database but once a month at the earliest. Somtimes it can take upto 4 months for some sites to be seen. <shrug> Something to keep in mind in case later you wonder why the heck ya don't see your site listed in ya favorite search engine.
