mysql database creation problems...

hola! for the past few hours, i've been trying to create a database. i know that the name for the database has to be unique and that no one else in powweb is using it so i've tried variations and even tried adding numbers but it looks like i still am using 0 out of 5 available databases. this is really, really, REALLY frustrating. i tried asking for help using the instant installer because no matter what i tried installing, nothing ended up getting installed but no one replied to my post :o so, i decided to install gallery from scratch and still nothing because i can't create a database... am i doing something wrong and i just happen to be really too stupid to see it?!

someone PLEASE help! i'm getting really desperate!

Maybe you can try and ask help at chat.powweb.com and they can follow your steps while you do them. It is difficult to help you with the little information which you have provided and we cannot access your account from here.

EDIT: still waiting for someone to reply over at chat... LOL but if anyone else has any ideas, feel free to toss them my way.
