For security reasons I tried chomding a certain folder in my cgi-bin as "000". I'm afraid that worked more than I had expected, for now I can't open, delete, change chomd, or do anything with that folder. Is there any way to regain control over the chomd 000 folder?Email tech support and ask them to fix it.
BTW it's chmod, not chomd :)

Try going up a directory (to your root folder).
Then right click on CGI-BIN folder, and reCHMOD it.
I accidently CHMOD'ed a folder incorrectly and that's how I fixed mine. Don't know if it will work on CGI-BIN directory. Have never done it there.
Good luck! (And let us know if it works!)

ok, i changed the chmod of cgi-bin folder from 755 to 777, and then went to the chmod 000 subfolder to see what i could do with it now: i no longer got "access denied"; even "delete" and "change chmod" seemed to work, BUT only to find that nothing after all had been changed. The only change that really took effect was the "renaming" of the folder. If you haven't already done so, chmod your cgi-bin folder to 755. IMMEDIATELY. Leaving it at 777 makes your site vulnerable to attack. Very vulnerable.
