Im getting called up for overseas deployment, and have to leave (1 year, but maybe 2) I'm wondering how best to leave my site up and running while I'm away?
Should I do nothing, and hope it stays up? I dont know that I have any techie friends or family that can manage it while I'm out of the country. I've been hosted by POWWEB since 2003 and never had a glitch except for one incident of a virus that crept onto the server. They've been a great host overall. I'll pay before leaving so the hosting is covered for the next few years, my only concern is if they email the webmaster (me) about changing the host server and I cant respond. Will this cause my site to go offline, or does that only affect how I ftp to the server?
I have no script or forum running so its a basic site with static html content.
Thanks for any input, I'm just feeling a little concern over not being able to attend directly to my site for an extended period of time.
