Renew package much before expiry

My domain poddu.com is registered with register.com for 10 years (2005 to 2015) and is hosted on powweb. I took the biyearly + 14 months free package in 2005. So thats about 3.25 years. My existing account info shows this: Renewal Date: 09/11/08

There is only 1 renewal option: PowWeb BiYearly (Promo 14 Months Free) ($186.48 / 730 days) (And this I believe will give only 2 years for renewals, no free stuff for existing customers :sad3:).

Can I renew my package now - that's 2.5 years before the package will expire - so in effect, the package will not expire untill 09/11/2010?

I had another question. Hasn't anybody found a way to get around this 14 months free to new cusotmers only? Can't existing customers possibly buy new packages, copy the entire website to the new package or something like that?!?! :D

If you contact billing@powweb.com you may find them responsive - billing issues can't be dealt with here as it is a customer to customer support area.

http://poddu.comNew packages (and contents copied to them) can be purchased - but you'd need to contact support to transfer the domain from one package to another if the packages aren't linked. You'd also need to ensure a different CC is used. Sometimes the offers do apply to existing customers so this may be not worth the effort.
