Access Security Camera Via the Net

I in in the grueling process of setting up a security camera system. The system I have allows me to access the DVR and cameras via the internet. I am have some problems and am looking for a help source to setup the system properly. Any help suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

err...the manual would probably help. if you want help from here, a better description of the components and problem would be useful. the biggest problem i would anticipate is getting through your firewall from the internet to access local network resources. between reading your router and DVR/camera documentation, it should get you started.
