I have a Dell dimension 4600c with windows xp home version. I have a new moble phone with a flash card. I plugged in the flash card reader into a USB port and loaded the drivers. The flash card was formatted on my phone. When I inserted the flash card and went to my computer and double clicked on E drive I keep getting the following error message: E:\ is not accessible incorrect function. I tested it on all USB ports on my computer, and received the same error message. I talked to a Dell support person and they said that I would have to do a windows xp reset. I have 2 years worth of stuff on my computer and do not want to go that far if I do not have to. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can solve this problem without the reset??

thanks
Dale

Maybe not a "solution", but a workaround: Does your camera have a USB (or other) cable that you can plug into your computer? And if so, does the computer recognize the camera? That would be one way to get around the card reading issue. Yeah, not ideal, but...

Good luck,
