View Full Version : Beginner MySQL questions
I just started building a small business website. I'm using Frontpage to build it. I created a form in Frontpage and I want the information submitted by the users to be stored in a database somewhere. I see that Powweb doesn't support Access or Excel and you have to set it up with MySQL. I looked around for a while and I have no idea how to use any of the programs offered to set up a database that the information can be stored. If anybody can give me any help on how to do this I would really appreciate it.

You can make a database in OPS.
http://ops.powweb.com
Under MySQL tab.
hrmmm...you're going to need to use PHP to have a web form be able to interface with the MySQL database, and last I checked Frontpage doesn't support any kind of PHP. You could still presumably build the html portions using frontpage, but the php stuff you'd have to code in a text editor or something....which with how Frontpage likes to mangle html may be more confusing than it ought to be. Just as a heads up.
