Hello All,

I have a question about network cards. Lets say I have three nics per computer on my home lan. Does anyone know how to make all three nic cards work as one. I know about network bridging in XP. Network bridge is two seprate networks.

Example - I have a 30MB file I want to transfer from pc 1 to pc 2. Each nic card would move 10MB.

My advice would be to get a faster network card. 1Gig cards are available and should move data fast enough for most applications.

Hello IanS,

I have added two netgear gigabit cards to my computers. I connect a crossover cable to both cards and assigned a static ip. I wanted to try to increase bandwidth between pc's using regular 10/100 cards. I was looking around on google and found something called Nic Teaming.

About a year ago I found a program that would allow you to create a virtual nics. Using two or more network cards. When I transfered a large file it would favor one nic and the others were not used. I am trying to remember the name of that program.

I've done a quick look around and have found the idea of NIC teaming, but most references are in connection with a server / client situation rather than two connected together via a cross-over cable.
