For some reason, when I "invent" new folder-names for my site, the links do not work. Am I only allowed to use specific names for my folders? My pictures do not show, and the browser says that the linked pages cannot be found. I know that they have been uploaded. The site is www.rothenborg.com/URL (http://.[url)] , and at the moment looks silly as the pictures are not showing. I have linked one picture to my old (free) provider, where I stiil have the whole site stored as back-up, so I know that I have linked correctly.
Can anyone figure out what's wrong?
Thanx,

Make certain that your FTP root directory on the remote server is htdocs. It's hard to tell, but it looks like addresses are relative to a directory above the root of the site.

What FTP/file manger are you using? YOu may want to consider dropping the "http://www.rothenborg.com/" from all file references to file on the site. That way, the site/file manager can do its job.

What FTP program are you Using.

Try WS-ftp, the new version doesn't time out like prior versions.

All Images must be uploaded in to your Image folder of course.
Open the folder on your local side, then open the remote or server side, Highlight the image on your local and highlight the folder on the server side and upload the file/files
Keep you browser window open on the page you want to see the changes, then hit refresh, This should work.

One thing you can do is delete the image folder on the remote
Create a new folder and try uploading the files again.
I have had to do this several times with other hosts.

I have discovered that if the host is doing maintenance or work on the server where your files are stored, this can keep the files
or images from showing up.

If this doesn't work, Then I'm not sure what is going on.

going from wat your website says the pictures should be in the folder htdoc/Billeder to reference them just put "Billeder/[name]", where [name] is the name of the picture.
Also make sure that you have the right spelling since all nemes are casesensitive.
Hope this helps.
