Hi all!

Just wondering: Is the workload evenly spread over the various MySQL servers at Powweb, or do the ones with the lower numbers, like mysql02 have a higher load/slower response than for example mysql17?

These are just all logical guess.

The newest server may have the lowest load.
But it really depends on who is running what kind of script at that time.

Still, certain server may end up with higher concentration of heavy users and constantly show higher load.
If that happens and becomes too evident, I guess PowWeb does something to flat out the differences.

So then it would be a good idea to switch my main database, running on mysql02, with a database I have on mysql18 which I hardly use?

You never know.
You may start to get more of heaavy users soon after you change,
PowWeb may do something to change th situation.

If it's something easy for you to do, you can just change and try.
I'd recommend doing what you feel right, more comfortable. :)

I've decided just to give it a try, and Yes! My site (http://www.meulie.net/) is quite a bit faster now! :D

(the stats in phpmyadmin reveal that mysql02 has twice as much load as mysql18...)
