Check that you have a green Y next to 'owner' for the email account in OPS.
Then in Outlook goto Tools> Accounts> click the account then Properties> General tab: Add a "Reply Address" use same as "Email Address" field. Servers Tab: Tick "My server requires authentication". Advanced tab: Outgoing mail (SMTP): 587

Hi All,
My Windows XP Outlook Express Ver: 6 email account suddenly stopped working and I would be grateful if anyone has any ideas on how to setup Windows XP Outlook Express again.
I have ploughed through this forum and other related forums, tried numerous suggestions, even had my administrator change the password but all to no avail.
The email account is working when I access it through http://webmail.plaroma.com but as mentioned previously does not work when using Outlook Express.
The latest error message received is:
The connection to the server has failed.
Account: 'webmail.plaroma.com (1)',
Server: 'webmail.plaroma.com',
Protocol: POP3,
Port: 587,
Secure(SSL): No,
Socket Error: 10060,
Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
When the Secure Server option is checked the following error message is received:
The connection to the server has failed.
Account: 'webmail.plaroma.com (1)',
Server: 'webmail.plaroma.com',
Protocol: POP3,
Port: 587,
Secure(SSL): Yes,
Socket Error: 10060,
Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
and also
Header download for the 'Inbox' folder did not complete.
Account: 'Anetizer',
Server: 'http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp',
Protocol: HTTPMail,
Port: 0,
Secure(SSL): No,
Error Number: 0x800C006F

My Outlook Express had the same problem yours did a while back. I used a sledgehammer approach and just downloaded Thunderbird from Mozilla. When I loaded it, it got all the info from OE and has been running like a champ ever since.
