You need to identify the cause. Is the computer getting exceptionally hot? Are the card fans capable of working with the particular card? Are you leaving the computer on for extended periods of time?
Is the case well ventilated? Does the video fan simply recycle hot air or does it blow cooling air?

I know these are questions, but someone may be able to give a suggestion if the answers to these are available....

case does gets hot , i replaced the stock fan from the GeForce3 Ti200 with another stock fan.
and yes the pc is always on, the pc is vented but i suspect not enough , it has 3 fans on it the ps has one, the cpu has one and the vid card has one. i have since removed the side cover .
the inside is clean (no dust, etc.) and its less than a year old, been thinking about putting 2 more fans inside the case one for intake and one for exit air just to improve air flow, heck i dont know.
but thanks for the reply

You want to put more intake fans than output fans to create a positive air flow system. Put in another intake case fan or if the case is really warm, 2 intake and 1 output.

Make sure the video fan is getting good intake air flow to it, not just recirculating the hot air that is inside the case.

I would have reworded this phrase, if I was posting it. ;)

Be sure to open your case and remove any dust that works as insulation. You shouldn't have your computer on if you are not using it. If your computer is near a window or heat source, you may relocate it or place a room fan near the computer to keep the temperature lower.

JJ mentioned the fans. Be sure they are properly placed for maximum efficiency. I haven't had a problem with a video card fan (yet). Be sure you are using a video card that is compatible with your system (motherboard, processor). I have fried a few processors even if they were appropriate for the motherboard.

In some instances running with the case open can cause a machine to run hotter. We had this problem with a user who was getting a thermal message and after I replaced the case fan and had the machine running fine, they decided to remove the side panel. When the thermal problem popped up again, it was due to that.

But that may no apply here.
