Since someone suggested we should post our wishes : I'd really appreciate having access to postgresql as a database-server (besides mysql, that is)

Please no flaming wars, both databases have their strengths and weaknesses. I enjoy using both of them.

I'd like this too. And/Or InnoDB support in mySQL.

Hi guys,

Been lurking. This topic though caught my eye. I for one want to keep mysql. If it means more money or loss of mysql I do not support the other requested database with my voice.

One of the things that Attracted me to Powweb was the simplicity. these are our tools this is our base price go have fun.

Which I have.

Please keep the price at or below current norms (7.77 is such a marketing ploy) and let us continue to have fun.

I run an Alumni site and a family site here and do so because I don't have to stay on top of everything every moment.

Keep up the good work.

Scott

You have nothing to fear. We are not loosing MySql. These other posts are requesting different types of databases, but we are definitely keeping and migrating over MySql databases.

Keep up the good work.
Always. :D

Maybe some of the limits on the DBs here can be raised or removed. The client I have hosted here has moaned about the thing maxing out on here even after tweaking the mboard.

Which limit was it? What was the error/notice message?

I will ask her for the details. The last month or so her board is sitting on one of my domains (on a VPS) so there was any cut offs lately.

It may have been these: "too many connections to the database" or "max query limit reached" Let us know so we can know which one affected you.

I would hope that you will continue to use phpmyadmin. You aren't considering allowing remotely hosted databases, are you? Though I think there are security risks, some people have expressed an interest in this.

There are no initial plans for the remote access and PHPMyAdmin will still be available for use.
