DTD for flash?

Am I just plain blind or is there no DTD that will accept flash (more specifically, object & embed tags).

The way I read it, the DTD for ver 4.01 covers objects and embedding, but it really doesn't mention Flash as an independant section.

That's how I read it also. . until I tried w3c's validator w/flash. Error after error. It didn't like the attributes both swish & macromedia put out when you export to html. When i finally got it to validate by taking out many of the attributes (4.01 transitional I think), I took a look at the page.. and the flash no longer worked <G>

I'll keep tweaking it, they do validate in less picky validators and test well in most browsers, so I guess I can't complain too much :)
