When I try to install XP - original on a 400gb hard drive I come across this problem. XP - original OEM cd only recognizes hard drives under 137gb's in size. This is also a OEM version so slipstreaming a service pack on it won't work

I would need XP sp1 or 2 to fix this limitation
The screenshot shows my current XP install on a 120gb drive

Question: Anyone know short of buying another copy of XP how to install or know the file that tells windows what version OEM or or not that XP is?

I have been able to find an answer. A program called nLite can integrate the service pack

Maxtor and WD both include the necessary software on their site to assist with the issue.

and for autopatching ease try this one http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4444.html

look at auto streamer, it makes it easy to integrate SP's with originals.
