FTP Timing Out

Hi, and I have just been trying to FTP to my site at - www.ronebergcairns.com

I log in okay, and the site opens
But when I try to open the "htdocs" folder, it times out after 90 seconds
This mesage is displayed - "Abnormal termination"

I FTP a little bit each day, and I have noticed that the "htdocs" was taking over a minute to open over the last two/three days

I use Cute and have been doing so for a number of years

No settings have been changed, etc

Is there any "problems or maintenance" at the moment that I have seen noted???

That is, to state the obvious, abnormal. Try turning passive (pasv) mode on/off to see if it makes a difference. No new software like a firewall or antivirus? Router setting change?

[edit] Are you on ftp06? find out in OPS. It has been intermittent. An admin is working on the problem.

Check auto-Updates haven't screwed things up by turning off firewall etc temporarily.

My sites are on FTP05 and FTP 03 - the 05 being the one I am currently concerned about

I have been uploading to these sites for a number of years, and the only changes I have made to the settings has been when instructed by PowWeb - eg, the FTP address from 'terra', etc

No other changes have been made, and no new software has been installed

After my original post, I kept trying to upload
As I mentioned, I receive the "abnormal termination" after 90 seconds if nothing happens
I sat there with fingers-crossed, and after persisting, it eventually opened the 'htdocs' folder with about 10 seconds to spare!!!

I will have more updating to do later today
Hopefully whatever was going on has decided to "fix itself"!!!

I will post again should I need further help

LOL, FTP05 is working good for me now after two days of misery. FTP01 is still giving me fits, but I know Admin is working on it.

Well, everything now seems okay!!!
The "htdocs" folder is now opening in around 15 to 20 seconds
