I have added a new account to Outlook 2002 but it is for a different ISP than the existing accounts and when I try to send an email from one of the existing accounts, I get the message that the outgoing SMTP server cannot be reached.
Does anyone have a solution or any advice for this??
Thanx.

You will likely have to use the SMTP settings (from an account that works) for the outgoing mail. For example, I use the Comcast SMTP settings for nearly all of my outgoing mail. Just make sure you put in the correct username/password for your outgoing mail (SMTP) server and you should be all set.
typically, whichever account is set as default will be the one used for sending mail. Only fix for your problem is to go in there and reset the default account depending on which you want to use to send with. Or, as tpoynton does, just give up and send all your email through one account.

Thanks for the help. I hadn't thought of doing it that way.
