Does anyone here use or know of a browser based program that can be used for updating a site when you are away from your own computer? Even just specific sections of a page would be fine, anything to make it look like I'm not gone as much as I am. :) Do some of the news programs use a browser based entry system?
Thanks Pete

You could use something like PHP Nuke or PHPWebsite. They allow you to post news and such from any computer with a connection to the internet. I could put up some screenshots of the nuke admin menu if you like.

Hope this helps!!

With CGI-telnet you can upload, downlaod, and chmod files.

It is free and can be found at http://www.rohitab.com/cgiscripts/cgitelnet.html

Sounds like you're looking for a CMS "content management system"....

there are ton's of them out there.... that will allow you do everything from create entire sites throught the browser...

to the low end..... text based editors.....

http://www.hotscripts.com/Perl/Scripts_and_Programs/Content_Management/

the above link.... list all types....

I've used some of the simpiler ones in the past.... created text files for the content of the pages mostly updated....

and used the CMS program.... to just log in... edit the text.... and save the changes directly on the server.....
