I have a wireless router, desktop and a laptop. The desktop works fine and the laptop used to work. But back then i had a dell true mobil card working with t-mobil service.
My question is do i have to have t-mobil service to use the router? If not how do i get it to use the internet from the router?
To connect the laptop to the router you can either use a cable (defeats the object of a wireless router) or use a wireless lan card. Depending on the model of the laptop, some have a wireless lan card built in, others require an extra card plugged into a slot. The 'true mobile card' sounds like it was using cellphone technology to connect to the internet and not the router. Is this the case?

The true mobile card is a normal wifi , i'm almost sure .
Does you laptop have a Wifi card/ Or a built in wireless adaptor .
