View Full Version : Something here has broken our forum

Just this evening, I noticed that my phpbb forum is inexiplicably broken, even though I haven't changed anything. Logging in or logging out takes you a blank screen. It appears to be some sort of weird sessions issue. Other people, from Powweb, are reporting the same thing:

http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=398871

I know that someone is going to claim that our scripts just all magically broke with the same problem at the same time, but could anyone tell me what at Powweb could be causing session wackiness and messing up our forums? Because that's what it really is, and I'd like to be able to fix it.

Thanks for the post WRabbit as well as the link. I also have been having the same issue presenting its self at my own site.

I have as well tried the "auto-cookie" reset, to no avail.

Understandably there are many sites hosted at PowWeb, and there is a lot going on at this time, but a kind informative word from the staff on this issue would be much appreciated.

My thanks given in advance there of.

Same here. The login as admin to our phpbb forum leads to a blank screen

Legacy servers have been experiencing problems - they're working on resolving the issue asap.

I was just about to try and install a phpbb forum... is it cool to do this now? has the issue been resolved?

robbright,

Since your post is concerning a site that has been migrated to the new platform, I've moved it to it's own thread ::

As no further Legacy issues have appeared for some time (connected with this thread) I'll close the thread to prevent other hijackings. :D

Problems with Legacy servers should be reported to support@powweb.com and if you wish, in here where the wealth of knowledge about them may be able to assist.
