I went to check my email this evening via webmail and the link I use wasn't working. I was taken to a Powweb page telling me to try webmail.mydomain.com, which is what I had been trying. When this didn't work, I was prompted to input my domain name (rivven.net) to see if I was migrated yet. I did so and that was it: my account had been migrated. I logged into my user console and it confirmed that my migration status was "completed".
The problem is, it was not supposed to be yet. I went into the Migration Kiosk last week or so and set the date to June 30th. I did so because of the many problems I've seen reported regarding migrations that have occurred so far, and wanted to wait until more of the kinks were worked out. In fact, I was planning on going in and setting the date even further forward in time this week.
I am very unhappy that my account was already migrated when I specifically set it not to be so yet. When I changed the date and went back to the kiosk, it showed June 30th as the date, so it did change. I haven't yet had a chance to confirm the functionality of my site, but I will be even unhappier if anything is broken given I didn't even want the migration done yet and took steps to prevent it until a future date. I have been with Powweb for nearly five years and have recommended other users to it. My renewal is coming up in August and if things don't start working better, I won't be renewing. The email problems have been irritating enough, but to be encouraged over and over to set my preferences for migration and then have it totally ignored is just about the last straw.
