Hi yall,

Just want to come here and report, happily, that my site's migration has concluded successfully (I did it manually). Everything is working like clockwork. I want to give mad props and shout outs to the new Powweb management for their superb handling of the process and their easy-to-use tools.

You guys are the best!

:D

I run MovableType with a mySQL backend. Everything is working fine.

It wasn't very difficult. I thought that "manual" means you'd have to manually copy files over to the new server, but that's not the case.

There's more information here:

I'd like to echo that other than a couple small glitches with my stats, everything worked fine. A Wordpress installation and a Coppermine installation ported over fine.

We have three sites hosted, one just moved over perfectly. I am sure the other two will also be a perfect move.

We use FP and everything works perfect.
We also use Eudora and it also is working perfect.

We just have one issue, we cannot get to squirrelmail, can anyone help us? We do not use it often but from time to time we do.

Thanks, we are happy with the move!!

Hi - Thank you all for your comments.

puntademita: please use webmail.mydomain.com and if that doesn't work, let us know.

MIgrated Manual and DNS Flipped last night. Success!!! A few very minor problems with sub-domains but I figured it out.

Glad to be a part of the new platform.

Thanks,
Goose

keithl,

once again thanks for you prior help.

One more question, please.

We have another site that has not migrated as yet.

You state...
attempt date 6/13
attempt finish 6/12

When in fact will it migrate.

Gracias from Mexico

I don't have an exact answer for your question, puntademita, but you could switch to manual migration and flip it at your earliest convenience if that's easier for you.

It really does not matter when it migrates, the only issue I would like to be available when it does and the dates shown make no sense. Will thay be changed prior to migration??

Again, thanks for all you help.

Your site may be simple enough to do a quick manual migration. Go to the kiosk and click the change button next to your path so that it changes to manual. There are four steps on the screen which your site should go through relatively quick.

Post back here if you need assistance on something.

Keithl,

I am out the door for the day. If we can I would like to do this tomorrow with the understanding that if I run into a problem you will be available to help this old novice if need be.

Gracias
