One of my sites was Migrated without my permission (http://amp-exchange.com/), There was No testing period and support has basically told me All I can do about it is wait 24 - 48 hours for a resolution?

It has been 24 hours now without any progress, What happened to this Idea....

As a reminder, we test and migrate Web sites one at a time so that we can provide individual attention to each account. We will migrate more customer accounts each week, over the course of the next several months.

So much for that plan?

No More IRC support either? Once your site is migrated the good support team we have become accustomed to can no longer help you?

So far I for one am not crazy about the "new" Platform and the polices associated with it.

myke,

Please help me understand what you're saying. Were you on the automated path? Manual?

What I am saying is the site is not working after the migration. It would appear that there is nothing I can do to fix it myself.

I got an email stating that

"We will send you another migration update via e-mail when it is time to move your site, but the specific timing of your account's transition depends on the "migration path" you choose:"

I did not receive any "update" about the path.

I did not make a choice, One day the site works fine, next day its dead.

Let's start over. Hi! I'm Keith. I'd be very much interested in finding out exactly "what" isn't working and go from there.

Thanks in advance! :)

Hi Keith,

I have a support ticket #1538856

The domain and site address is http://amp-exchange.com/

This web site is not supposed to be a Blank White page, If you try it you will see that is what is happening.

Some details about the site are, it is a e107 site, yesterday on the phone with support they told me there was a problem with the PHP and I can see in OPS repeated PHP errors.

I guess what is the most upsetting is that you would think that if the site did not work when they tested it, then why point the domain to the new server? Why not resolve the PHP bug first to avoid down time for your customers?

In anticipation of you asking what the error is...

PHP Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /hermes/web03/b383/pow.personsname/htdocs/class2.php on line 1326

Thanks for any help.

Hi myke,

It looks like you were on the Automated Migration Path which was set up for the 12th of this month. At some point a week or two ago, you should have received an e-mail explaining that your site was about to be migrated as per the new management team for PowWeb.

I'm assuming that the QA process did not find anything that would stop the DNS from flipping (which it did), and which put you at the point now with the blank white page.

It seems that the QA process didn't pick up any bugs, because if it had, you would have received an e-mail stating that the QA team needs more time before they flip your DNS.

I'm digging... digging...

I'll take a look at a couple things and get back to you.

Hi myke,

You can check your site again. I think you'll be happily surprised. (A huge thank-you to tbonekkt!!)

It looks as though somehow during migration, the file copy utility corrupted your class2.php file. It's been replaced it with a copy from legacy and all looks good. Double-check things and make sure you file a new ticket as well if there's something amiss.

EDIT: outfctrl, we actually fixed it while you were loading the thread. :)
