I had some wonderful advice from Steve1, the MODULATOR (found out I posted in the wrong section too, but hey! I'm learning), followed it through to FTP my web site over to here. I have all my files in the docs folder, but when I test it to see if the web site will work, only part of one shows up. I have two web sites.
Sincerely,
ReBecca
Hi, ReBecca,
What's your site URL? You did put files in "htdocs" not "docs", right? What part doesn't work?

For powweb, it's aslrebecca.powweb.com. For what's still on P4Host, it's www.weedosign.com and www.awesomeblessings.com
WeeDoSign came through, but not with all the photos. Awesomeblessings isn't showing up at all, so I don't know to check for that one, since when I type in aslrebecca.powweb.com, only the weedosign site comes up.
Sorry to be so burdensome, but I lose P4host in two weeks so I'm scrambling here...
Sincerely,
ReBecca

Hi, ReBecca,

Just verified...I'm getting this...slowly, but I'm getting this! I did put them in htdocs.
Sincerely,
ReBecca
Since I don't have access to the server, I can't see what is actually there. You may need to ask support to verify if files are where they are supposed to be. I don't see anything obviously wrong just looking at the web page. One thing to make sure is that the case (upper/lower) of the filenames is exactly what you have in the HTML. If your old host runs Windows, then it ignored case differences. foo.jpg is not the same as Foo.jpg, for example.
As for your second domain, I assume that its files are in a subfolder. If so, you should be able to get at them with aslrebecca.powweb.com/foldername

But I don't know how to make it work.
ftp://ftp.powweb.com/htdocs/public_html/html/index.html
Would I take it out of the public_html/html area and place it directly in the htdocs or would that screw up the weedosign stuffs?
ftp://ftp.powweb.com/htdocs/public_html/weedosign/
Here is where the weedosign stuffs are, so...I'm lost....
Sincerely,
ReBecca
No, don't put it directly in htdocs. You can leave it where it is but you have to ask PowWeb support to map awsomeblessings.com to the /public_html/html folder. Users won't see this, you just have to be aware of it when updating the files. If you want, create a /awsomeblessings folder under htdocs if you like and move the content there. That is optional.

Okay, I'm going in circles now. I'm lost. I've made a new file, transferred stuffs over, and now I'm finding files everywhere that are the same name. I can't get the awesomeblessings to show up, but maybe that's because it's flash?

Okay, I'm to the point that I want to clean it all out of the files and start all over. If I install it all into Microsoft Frontpage and load it, will it come out right?
Getting desperate. Sincerely, ReBecca
I don't think that ANYTHING loaded into FrontPage comes out right (one can always tell a site created in FrontPage), but you're welcome to try. I can't guarantee success.

Well, flitter! I didn't build it in FrontPage but I thought that might make it easier...
I've tried capturing your sites in FP - the weedosign one managed to work, but the other one didn't - maybe it's the swf files that are the problem for FP.

Did all of the pics come through or is it filled with lots of X-boxes? I will go again tonight and read the transitions stuffs. Thanks for y'all being patient and working with me...

I'm still muddling along
http://aslrebecca.powweb.com/
When I click on this page, I do get weedosign, but only part of it.
The first page should be the index page-which is simply www.weedosign.com
and that pic is the "enter sign"...where a hand fingerspells the letters e n
t e r then it is supposed to go to "Page home". Alas, it doesn't work. None of the jpgs show up, nothing shows up except the background colors. It does switch over to the Page home though (I'm thankful for that!).
"Page home": Only one tab comes up (contact tab) but the font is different
from the .jpg I made. The other tabs are naked. The two Signing Time
pictures aren't there at all.
"Page Inside" (which is the second tab that should hold the label About):
comes up good, except the same tab issue as "page home".
"Page 3":Same thing-tab problem, neither pic shows up
"Page 4": Same thing-tab problem, girl pic DOES show up, but the big pic
does NOT show up
"Page 5": Same thing-tab problems, pic doesn't show up
"Page 6": Contact page does not work, tab problem, pic doesn't show up
I have tried to http://aslrebecca.powweb.com/awesomeblessings/
but it never comes up. The background color comes up, but this is as far as
it will let me check.
Well, let's start slowly. When you connect to ftp.powweb.com for your aslrebecca site, there should be a htdocs folder. And under that should be an images folder, which there seems to be. is there a handsign_enter_frame_1.gif file in that folder, with EXACTLY that name, all in lower case?
aslrebecca

No...they are directly in the htdocs file. I have a lot of duplicates scattered. Will it mess up everything if I move all the jpegs into only the images file?
Here is what I have-HTDOCS holds images, but also has an IMAGES folder. When I open the IMAGES folder, there are images, but also yet another IMAGES folder.

Okay, I moved the handsign_enter_frame_1.gif and others similar, which brought up the page better, but it is still not animated, meaning it's still not spelling it out. Thank God you speak so simple for me! I'm already less stressed! Smiles, ReBecca
The image your site is looking for should be in htdocs/images. Not htdocs/images/images or anywhere else. Assuming that your site always references images from /images, then, yes, you should move images anywhere else to htdocs/images. It is no problem if you simply copy them and leave the originals, but to reduce confusion you may want to remove the duplicates that are in the wrong location.
If you do delete the other images, make sure that everything on your site works correctly.
I see the ENTER sign spelled out in sequence.

Okay, have moved all pics into the image file, have transferred all the pics from the image folder inside the image folder. Bummer that I can't see the spelling out of the enter sign. I cleaned out my cache file. I'm about to check everything again to see if the images are showing up. Thanks! Keep 'em coming. I follow directions really well, as long as they are laid out easily enough for me to understand!
You may have your browser set to not animate GIFs, or sometimes you can have firewall software that has this as an option.
If you are using MSIE, select Tools..Internet Options..Advanced. In the Multimedia category, make sure that "Play Animations in Web Pages" is checked.

That box was ticked. I even unticked it, applied settings, then re-ticked it. I killed the firewall just to check, and sure enough, it was the firewall! Thanks! So now...I see all the tabs and I think all of the pics are up (computer is running slow)..how do I get my contact page working yet again?
This is really going to happen, isn't it? POW!
What contact page is that? The Contact link at the bottom (very low contrast and hard to read) is just a mailto: link.
Oh, Contact is also one of those sideways-text links at the left. Couldn't read those without turning my head. I suggest a different style...
Anyway, that seems to be some sort of FrontPage form - do you have FrontPage Extensions enabled in OPS? You may need to ask for help in the FrontPage section of the forum.

I do have Frontpage extensions enabled, BUT, it's not from Frontpage...it was just placed into the web page. I will have to look more into it. It was a PHP form I believe...
Oh, I see. The form action is pointing to http:/www.awesomeblessings.com/sendmail.php . That domain is still hosted by a non-PowWeb server and may be checking the referrer as "security" (which means no security.) Perhaps if you changed the form action to simply /sendmail.php it would work better, though the referrer match will still fail.

Okay, so since you have the power to check my stuffs, do you think I can switch over now to Powweb? I do know how to change the DNS simply because that's what I did the first time before I was ready so I had to scurry and switch back....
I don't "have the power" - I just see what any user could see using a web browser. If you are comfortable that everything works, then sure, go ahead and switch the DNS.

Nah, wasn't being sarcastic, you're just a whole heck of a lot more versed in this stuff and it seems you're seeing it work work from your end (sometimes better than me)...that's all....I'm envious...
I did switch over, but I couldn't get an assist from support for the mapping part of it. So now I'm treading water again....

And I was wrong...the awesomeblessings was a PHP form. The weedosign is html. I can copy/paste it if you're willing to take a look. Sincerely, ReBecca
The Contact tab page on weedosign is an HTML form which, when it submits, runs a PHP script at awesomeblessings.com. You can keep this if you want - it should work - or move the PHP to wedosign.com's site.
