Hey all,
Just new to this whole process. Since the migration process I can't seem to edit my web site. Where do I begin? and is it an easier process now to work on your site? I really need some advice.

Grab a copy of FileZilla or similar FTP program. Login to ftp.powweb.com with ur FTP user/pass (the port is: 21) and download a copy of all the folders/files there. That's your website. Edit on your computer as you need to then upload (overwrite) the changed files back to powweb in the same place they came from.

thank you. thank you
In particular, make sure that your web site files are uploaded into the htdocs folder - that is the top level of your site. Other folders you see can be ignored until you learn more.

I am now in FileZilla and have downloaded my web site. Should I open, edit and rename the files? As they are now they are just just numbered subtitles each one I open is a new suprise! Is this the best way to edit my site or is there something more for the" junior web builder"? All imput is welcome and I thank you all for your great help!!
If you are unfamiliar with creating a web site, I recommend you obtain and read a book on the subject. If you have not actually created a site, then what is on the PowWeb server already is not of interest to you - it is a placeholder waiting for your real site.
You should learn the basics of HTML and probably consider a web page editing tool that will free you from the low-level details. You should also have a good idea of what you want your site to be. It sounds as if you've started "at the wrong end", so to speak.
nvu from http://www.nvu.com is a free editor that will allow you to progress from creating a web page as you see it, to writing code in HTML (or other web languages).
