Is anyone else getting this problem with MySQL run website?

db connection failed.

Its started happening with my website and I just want to know whether anyone else is getting this or whether I'm the only one. I cant even get into the MySQL section in OPS to find out if theres a problem I can fix.

Is this the error message you get?

"The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request. The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log."

I run a phpBB here (latest version 2.0.21) that throws this error too. It was fine until the last 24hrs. I haven't found the cause of the error yet.

My website running dotclear (php+mysql) stopped working about 5 minutes back. Get this error.

MySQL Error : 2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on 'mysql12.powweb.com' (111)

I've raised a support ticket.

I tried a bunch of my websites and have not gotten any database errors (yet). I wonder if this is only happening to some databases. We are running custom scripts on various mysql servers here. Can those of you with problems post the database server and the CMS used when you get the error?

My site http://dotclear.poddu.com just came back. The support ticket says "Action Taken" but doesn't give any details.

And BTW, during the outage, I was not able to login to my MySQL database. Now it works.
